Inspired by the process behind The Laramie Project, teens will partner with a local activist organization to dramatize their story and struggle with theatrical tools. This four week long process will begin with introductions to several activist organizations in town, and then the teens will proceed with one of their choosing to learn about their work and struggles in town. Over the course of the process, they’ll interview different people, conduct their own research, and experiment with different stagings of what they’ve learned. At the end of this process, they’ll present a work-in-progress draft of their devised piece to invited family and friends.
