TEEN SUMMER ACTING STUDIOO

_Sat. Classes - DSC2731.JPG

In this popular evenings-only program actors are invited to join a month long intensive scene study that meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June. The workshop is designed for teens interested in developing acting techniques to enhance auditions and roles in high school, college and community theatre. Participants work with professional acting and vocal coaches. The workshop focuses on character analysis, scene and monologue preparation, as well as honing song interpretation skills - learning to sell the song.  Students must be committed to reading 1-2 plays each week and plan to attend all workshop sessions.  Material includes modern and classical scripts as well as Broadway musical repertoire.

The program ends with a free public showcase in the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium.
