Tech Week: March 1-4, Sunday - Wednesday
5 Performances: March 5 - 8, 2020

School Day Performances:  Friday, March 5, 10am and 1pm

REGISTER

• Schedule commitment: You must be able to commit to the entire rehearsal and performance schedule​

• Register online or download mail-in registration (must be postmarked by November 25, 2019.)

• Download Scholarship application packet (must be postmarked by November 18, 2019.)

• Cost is $350. Payment options are available only with online registration: half is due at registration; half due by November 25.

• Space is limited to 35 high school/middle school/elementary actors. Register early, this production class will fill quickly. 

• PLEASE NOTE:  BECAUSE OF CASTING CONSIDERATIONS, FOR THIS PRODUCTION WE CAN ONLY TAKE 15 ACTORS IN GRADES 5TH, 6TH, AND 7TH.  If your registration comes in after we have exceeded this number, we will contact you and put you on the waiting list.  

• Class Waitlists: We maintain a waitlist until one week before the first day of programming.  contact info@stagesbloomington.com to be added to the waitlist.  

 

 

ABOUT THE SHOW

Meet Matilda, a precocious little girl who is ignored by her parents and bullied by the headmistress at school. With a wry sense of humor and a penchant for justice, she will win your heart. A "Best Musical" Tony winner based on Roald Dahl's popular children's novel,  Matilda is a triumphant tale - exuberant, quirky, and over-the-top fun!

Actors!  You won't want to miss this opportunity!  As this is a musical, actors will need to be able to match pitch.

• December 7, 9am-12pm: First meetings; include auditions

• December 7, 9-10 am Mandatory Parent Meeting

• December 7 - March 4: Rehearsals

  • Mondays, 6:00-8:30 pm: December 9, January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24

  • Wednesdays, 6:00-8:30 pm: December 11, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26 

  • Saturdays, 9am-12pm: December 7, 14, January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

• Sunday - Wednesday, March 1 - 4, 5:45-9:30pm (5th -7th graders are dismissed at 8:45pm.  Those in the older ensemble stay until 9:30pm): Tech Week at the Waldron

• March 5-8: Performances

  • March 6: School Day Show, first call at 9am, 10am performance. Actors dismissed at 12:30pm and return at 5:30pm for the 7pm performance 

  • March 5: Cast call: 5:30 pm; Show: 7:00 pm

  • March 6: Cast call: 5:30 pm; Show: 7:00 pm

  • March 7: Cast call:12:30 pm; Show: 2:00 pm

  • March 7:  Cast call: 5:30 pm; Show 7:00 pm

  • March 8:  Cast call: 12:30 pm; Show: 2:00 pm

  • 4:00-6:30 pm: All cast & crew stay to break sets and move out. Parents and volunteers, please join us. We welcome the help!
